Warning Signs And Potential Problems During The Second And Third Trimesters

Call your provider if you notice any of the following:

  • Bleeding causing a stain larger than a quarter
  • Contractions more frequently than four an hour when you are less then 36 weeks
  • Leaking fluid or water from the vagina
  • Falling or hitting your abdomen or having someone hit your abdomen.
  • Absent or decreased fetal activity
  • Marked swelling of the hands or face
  • Severe headache not relieved with Tylenol
  • Blurred or double vision or seeing white lights like shooting stars
  • Pain or burning with urination
