Chest X-ray

A chest X-ray produces an image on film that outlines your heart, lungs and other structures in your chest. Chest X-rays can give important information about the size and shape of your heart, calcium deposits that often indicate cholesterol plaque build-up and areas of impaired blood flow and the condition of your lungs. A positive or suspicious chest X-ray may lead your doctor to ordering more specific tests to assess the abnormality found.
